In 2003 I got hooked on kiteboarding and combined this with my passion for photography.

Hard work, dedication and not being scared to be different paid off. My work got recognized world wide in the international kiteboard industry and I started collaborating with major brands like Mystic.

After my accident in 2021 they stayed very close and when they approached me to create a special edition Majestic harness I was super stoked. I choose a photo from my book that was close to me and that would tell a story. This half underwater shot tells a lot about who I am and what attracted me to water photography. It’s the moment where light meets water, the particles light up. Something you can only see with the camera.

The print on the back plate really came to life when I saw it for the first time, together with a quote from Oswald Smith: “A gentle reminder that magic does exist.”
